CARER SUPPORT

The practice keeps a note of people who are carers. A carer is someone who provides or supervises a substantial amount of care on a regular basis for a child, relative, partner, friend or neighbour, someone who is unable to manage on their own due to illness, disability, frailty or mental health problems. Please let the practice know if you are a carer. We can pass on information of interest to carers, and we put people in touch with the Western Isles Community Care forum.

The Western Isles Community Care Forum is a local charity that connects carers with appropriate help and support. Read more about their services here: http://www.wiccf.co.uk/

Tagsa Uibhist is a local organisation based in Balilvanich. They run a range of projects including a dementia support group, assisted transport scheme and a range of other services that help people remain in their own homes. Read more about their services here: http://www.tagsa-uibhist.com/
